Our group was split between two tables. One table got their food first and was almost done before the other table got their food. The food was okay. nothing special. When we asked what made the french toast "sweet and salty" we were told "well it's sweet and salty, I cannot say any more". The salty is potato chips crumbs on top of the french toast.
MoreGreat find, friendly family environment. Very clean. Best potatoes ever!
Very friendly and service is great. Cozy little family diner. Food is excellent. Portions are very big.
MoreVery good food.Loved the tea pots.
Really good homemade food with fantastic service. And good prices also
Good food in a relaxed family atmosphere. Lots of collectables on the walls to look at
MoreWow! Great place. Good pricing. Good service.
Disappointed to say at the least, should’ve went somewhere else, place is a complete rip off, if you plan on coming here better re mortgage your home first. Food was below average isn’t the good homestyle cooking it makes it self out to be. Way better options in the area.

THANKS.Peace Im out
MoreI've traveled a relatively significant amount and Paula's is by far one of my favorite breakfast locations. We travel to ski at Boyne Highlands and Nubs Nob every year and have made it a tradition to stop for breakfast here. Every year we try something new from the menu and have the same experience - excellent service, amazing food, and an extremely reasonable price. Every time for years. I felt like it was about time I left a positive rating to say thank you. I just love this place and the people and hope they stay in businesses forever. They legitimately have THE NICEST staff I have ever seen. Genuinely nice and so many smiles that I feel like they're family even for a quick stop.If you are fortunate enough to be anywhere within driving distance of Paulas, make sure to stop for at least one breakfast. It will be one of the best starts of any day you have ahead of you
MoreGreat breakfast family people in really cute side
Great service, very friendly, great food!
I can’t miss this place when in town, and it even is a factor in vacation planning. Top notch breakfast and service, simply the best.
MoreWe were SO disappointed with this place. Paid $13.00 for 1 mediocre pancake and 2 sad little sausage patties. My poor husband got 1 tiny pancake for $6.00 and I gave him one of my sausage patties so he wouldn't starve. A can of Pepsi for him with a glass of ice, $3.00 and of course you aren't able to get any kind of refills because all they have are cans :/ Skip this place if you want a real breakfast...no wonder they were empty when every other place was packed!!
MoreLove this place... grilled biscuit is awesome!
Family style restaurant, mostly frequented by locals. Comfort food. Good food.
Excellent service fast and friendly their breakfast gravy is awesome!! Definitely will be back
MoreGood old home cooking. Nice large cups for coffee. Staff is wonderful they actually come to the door and opened the door and welcomed us in.
MoreAwsome place. Great people and wonderful food! This is one of those hidden gems locals will tell you about! the staff has always been amazing to us. trust me every time we are in the area we make it a point to eat here. Try it yourself!
MoreCLOSED WHEN ADVERTISED AS OPEN ON SATURDAY. So disappointed!!! We come up once a year and looked up your hours of operation and it said OPEN on Saturday. We are here in your parking lot on a Saturday and you are closed!!! I heard there is new management and this did not make a great first impression. Update your website!!! Also, how can you not be open on the weekends, your busiest days of the week?!?? I will give the next place we go to 5 stars because they are open AS ADVERTISED!GO TO WILSONS RIVERS EDGE right down the road-delicious and OPEN ON WEEKENDS AS ADVERTISED!
MoreSaw Paula's on a Michigan TV show some years ago but always passed by when they were closed. Made it today! Very friendly staff and had nice chat with Paula! Food was good and ample! Never had grilled biscuits before! Great! Note: they only accept cash. No credit cards! Also allow patrons to carry guns (Veteran Owned). Best time seems to be 10am between the breakfast and lunch crowd. Largest collection of tea pots you will ever see!! You won't need to eat lunch if you eat breakfast here.
MoreCozy, warm, and welcoming little place. The staff makes you very welcomed. I loved the decor, it's as American as it gets and that's nice to see. The food was very good, I was pleasantly surprised. If you're in town or passing through you should stop by, you will feel well at home with the locals. I'll certainly return.
MoreFantastic road side place to eat. Owner was friendly and the service was fast! Only about 6 minutes before our food came out. Would highly recommend!!
MoreThis restaurant is amazing !! Their food is the best I've ever had for breakfast in northern Michigan
MoreBest breakfast I've had in a long time! Great service and lovely people!
Wonderful service and delicious food. The waitstaff go above and beyond to ensure your dining experience. We would eat here again on our next visit!
MoreGreat biscuits and gravy! The omelettes are huge!
Great decor, hundreds of tea pots! But not just a lady's place, the food and servings are fit for any guy. Friendliest people there! Everything is homemade. But they do not take credit, so bring your cash or debit card.
MoreGreat people, good food and a nice atmosphere are what you can expect every time. This isn't a big city Cafe, Paula's is a up north hometown cafe, pure and simple!
MoreMy daughter and I set out on the motorcycle with Paula's Cafe the specific destination, never having eaten there before. Upon arriving were were warmly welcomed by a man who likely was the owner. He asked if we were riding, and once we confirmed, he invited us to park up next to the building the next time as it's safer for the bike on the paved section. Food was wonderful, and we enjoyed the small and welcoming atmosphere. My daughter was impressed with the huge collection of teapots as well.
MoreA large group of us taking antique tractors to cross the Mack... Food was great.. service fast and friendly! Good job!
MoreOver 1400 tea pots from around rhe world. Crunchy french toast is great
Pricey, better options in area. When the owners are not hollering at the waitstaff things are okay. Very odd group.... restaurant has been for sale for years. No credit or debit cards.
MoreSuper nice people and great service 😁 the best breakfast 👍
We stopped by this place on our way home on labor day. This place is AMAZING! The service was wonderful and the coffee was fresh. My husband had the western omelette with potatoes and I had the corned beef hash. Both were really good and perfectly cooked. The real gem here is their biscuits! Perfectly fluffy, they cut them in half and crisp them on the griddle and serve with a side of honey. Easily the best biscuit I've ever had. We thought it was very reasonably priced- and its cash (or check..) only! I wish this place was closer to us but it's probably a good thing it's not! Definately worth the stop, a solid breakfast place!
MoreNO CREDIT/DEBIT ACCEPTED. Very disappointed! I will also inform the motel since they recommended this place. I hate giving one star, but this should be better known. Would have loved to have eaten here, but next time I travel through, even if I have cash, I won't eat here because of this.
MoreAbsolutely adorable little place. Friendly and comfortable.
Great company here and great food. Super clean and great decor. Every kind and type of tea pot you could imagine. Beautiful place.
MoreA little quaint place that has an outstanding teapot collection, you have to see it. The food was delicious, I tried an omlette and blueberry french toast, delicious!
MoreGreat food and beautiful little cafe
Corn beef hash is not homemade, can with potatoes added.
Great breakfast place and wonderful service! Love it! ❤️
If you can't eat eggs you are out of luck! No hamburgers, fries! What restaurant doesn't serve hamburgers and fries?????? Even the best restaurants serve hamburgers and fries!
MoreThe best friendly experience in any restaurant I've ever been in. Paula is awesome and Janet our server couldn't have been more helpful. If you're in the neighborhood it's a must stop for great food.
MoreThe food here is seriously amazing. If you're in the area, you should absolutely try to get breakfast here. Head's up, though - you can't put a tip on your card (even though you can pay with a card), so bring some cash!I'd highly recommend the "Eggs Plus," and the chocolate chip pancakes with butter and powdered sugar.
MoreBest place in the county, excellent for food, service and friendliness. Paul & Paula are great chef's!!!
MoreThis is a great little diner, but the address is incorrect. Correct address is 4141 Club Rd. See that address for my full review.
MoreWe came here with my husband and two elementary-aged children while traveling through Northern Michigan. We were excited to try a local spot. Unfortunately it was gross. The bathroom toilet had overflowed. The food was mediocre. There are gun signs everywhere. My children can read, and my son read the part out loud that said: THE OWNER OF THIS PROPERTY IS ARMED AND PREPARED TO PROTECT LIFE AND PROPERTY - NOTHING ON THIS PROPERTY IS WORTH YOUR LIFE..."What does that mean," he asked.I don't consider that family friendly. I honestly cannot tell you what people would steal here to make it worth such a ridiculous display.
MoreFood is amazing!! It's a happy and very clean environment! Bring a special someone the whole family or eat by yourself :) the only thing that's better than the home cooking is the excellent wait staff very kind and friendly always up to make you smile you will leave with a full belly and a smile :)
MorePaula's has great food with friendly staff super fast service and a very clean facility. The entertainment is all the teapots adorning the shelves and in every corner. If you are making a special trip to Paula's check to be sure they are open as the hours and days do change, it is well worth seeking Paula's out.
